1983 DAIMLER SOVEREIGN 4. 2 SERIES 3
Fresh out of long term ownership and just arrived into stock with us is this absolutely incredible Daimler Sovereign 4. 2. This has been the last owners absolute pride and joy and was only sold due to his advancing years.
A 55000 mile example that is accompanied by a wonderful ring binder folder full of documentation showing a vehicle that has truly been loved with no regard for cost . In the last 18 months alone the expenditure has exceeded over £10000 which has included a full overhaul of the rear axle (the pictures show this and it truly is a work of art) , the axle was all powder coated and every little nut and bolt changed for stainless steel as swell as fresh calipers , suspension and bushes throughout. The front suspension has also been fully overhauled as well as the braking system renewed all round and a documented rebuild of the engine. This is without a shadow of a doubt the best driving series 3 I have ever been in and I’m sure any prospective buyer would concur.
The interior of this vehicle is simply like new which I’m sure comes across well in the photographs , all the veneers are perfect and without any form of cracking whatsoever, the leather beautiful and supple (some minor creasing to the edge of the drivers seat, proving it hasn’t been retrimmed) , the headliner must have surely been recovered because again its like brand new, even all the chrome, tactile surfaces and glass have been polished to within an inch of their life, everything works it is just a beautiful place in which to sit.
Outside all the chrome , rubbers, trim and glass are in perfect condition . The paintwork presents well , in fact it has had a full bare metal respray in the past which is still lovely and bright but in the odd area there are small blemishes in the paint if you’re being fussy - nothing that would put you off the car and I have photographed them in the listing along with highlighting them in our online video appraisal of the car. The car though is completely solid with no rot in any of the sills or arches and both the front and rear valances are without issue, again this is very rare in itself and documented in the extensive pictures of the condition. All of the chassis , aswell as the wheel arches and floors have been waxoyl treated regularly to ensure they remain in great condition also.
We would recommend any viewings/ inspections as I am confident a finer, more genuine series 3 does not exist for anything like this type of money anywhere.
