Description
48, 000 miles, in Midnight Black metallic with MOT until March 2023
This is one of the last Fronteras, registered in Sept 2004.
A run out model known as Olympic
It is a SWB 3 door version and comes with half leather heated front seats and twin sunroofs
Its spare wheel has the original unused Wrangler tyre and a full set of rubber floor mats, including correct full width rear one.
Factory fitment protection plates underneath are in place and undamaged, if you decide to use it over rough ground.
I bought the car last summer from an elderly lady who'd had to give up driving. She'd used it to nip to the shops and to the stables on a farm where her granddaughter kept a pony.
The paintwork is in excellent condition, nice deep shine and the interior is the same.
All the surfaces are un-scuffed, carpets and seats have no tears or splits.
In my ownership it's had some welding done on the rear chassis legs for the MOT and I've had 2 bumper corners repainted where she'd caught them, presumably on her way to the farm at slow speed , as they looked like scuffs from a gate post.
Mechanically it's had new oil, air and fuel filters plus crankshaft front seal and cam-box gasket replaced to stop oil leaks.
The timing belt , auxiliary drive belt, water pump and spark plugs were replaced at the same time. I have invoices for all these
All the electrics are operational , windows, heated mirrors, central locking , heated seats etc and the 4WD system engages properly including the low-box selection.
It has the original dealer wallet with service book etc, this shows part service history and I have receipts for the all the parts fitted in my ownership, which of course is the most recent work done to it.
The locking wheel bolt tool is included and the spare wheel cover locks with the correct key
All the tyres are road / mild country, so they do offer a more compliant drive on normal surfaces than chunky off-roaders.
I ran the car sparingly on classic insurance in winter and it proved what a competent vehicle it was, when we had snow.
It got an advisory on the last MOT for rear shockers (reduced damping effect), which I intended to replace, but then I was offered another interesting car from a friend, which I've decided to buy. I've only room to keep one vehicle in my garage, so I've decided to buy that and let someone else continue enjoying and keeping a rare car like a Frontera on the road.
There is only one ignition key and one rear tyre would benefit from replacing , as it doesn't have as much tread on as the other 3 very good ones.
I believe I've reflected the 3 jobs i would have liked to have got done in the price I'm asking.
Fronteras are a rarely seen vehicle these days and this example has been kept original, with none of the modifications that a lot suffer from.
The car appears ULEZ compliant too.
May I please ask you to telephone me first if you're interested or have any further questions.
I'm happy to supply any more detailed pictures you require, but only after we've had a chat, to confirm your serious interest.
