On Offer A very Rare classic Ducati 400SS a collectors bike.
Imported from japan and declared manufactured in 1993 these bikes are extremely rare in the UK and its believed there may only be 2/ 3 registered with the DVLA.
The Ducati is in very good condition for the year, its not a showroom motorcycle it does have the usual marks and blemishes you would expect from a classic bike nearly 30 years old.
This bike like all the supersport range displays the lovely Italian styling, complete with its 398cc twin cylinder SOHC Desmodronic 2 valves per cylinder classic engine. It comes with a six speed gearbox and only weighing in at 173 kgs the bike is fun to ride, lovely handling and superb stopping power from the legendary Brembo brakes.
Last Mot was in June 2019 mileage was 16, 614 (26, 739 kms ) a further 708 miles were put on the bike before it was taken taken off the road during the Covid Pandemic, and into heated dry storage, currently Sorn the bike was Serviced during the pandemic in 2020 and no miles have been put on since. The V5 is in my name.
Carburettors stripped down and cleaned, the jets and needles were replaced with new ones, together with new ethanol resistant viton seals.
Cam belts replaced and adjusted to specification.
Oil and filter change.
Fuel tank filter changed.
Clutch master cylinder seal kit fitted.
K and N air filter.
New front tyre Dunlop Sportsmax.
The bike has only been used for dry Sunday ride out’s and always attracts lots of interest from Ducati enthusiasts.
This is one rare bike not to be missed and should continue to be an appreciating asset for the new owner.
