several emails have been received asking if it is for sale. The answer is Yes.
The land rover is being sold as a project so please read description
this is an original 1992 discovery 200tdi with manual box
**** amazingly this car has never been welded or blasted over in thick black stone chip***
I doubt that there is not another 200tdi discovery left in the country which has not been welded/ plated or blasted over in thick stone chip underseal to hide corrosion.
the chassis frame is excellent.
fully stamped service book, service history recorded up to 169, 000.
full engine service carried out this year at 204, 400 miles
the discovery drives well. Has been used on private land since 2008
all gears work including the hi low and diff lock.
many repairs have been carried out since it failed it's last mot.
the body structure is good for its age.
both of the 2nd row door wheel arches are the best i have seen on any other tdi discovery.
requires welding to both outer sills, the inner wheel arches will need some work as well. The rear area of boot floor is good but the forward section of boot floor will require a couple of plates.
the car has had a clean car data check. Registration document is in my name. Supplied with the service history and some vehicle records. Two keys with the land rover, there is no fob. Central locking working off drivers door lock.
starts first time, every time.
Private plate, first registration K600 CCC stays with the land rover.
it is clear to see the land rover has been well cared for the vast majority of it's life. In the car's final years the discovery has been maintained but unfortunately this work was not recorded.
there are scratch marks and some dents to the body work. This is a 30 year old used discovery so please do not expect a showroom condition car
the front original interior trim is good. There is even a matching original removable cubby bag between front seats
there is some damaged plastic trim on the lower b post
the 2nd row seats are beige but from a later tdi discovery
the boot area fold out seats are both original to the discovery.
small damage to rhr body plastic trim.
full set of genuine discovery rubber mats, the service book and handbook are with the car.
electric windows and electric mirrors are all in working order.
summary
this vehicle could be a good project for a land rover enthusiast.
with or without some restoration work this early discovery can only rise in value. Please do your own research but a good clean discovery 200tdi with mot is currently in excess of £6, 500 price region. Well restored early discovery vehicles are around £12, 000 region
transport is available. The company who i can recommend charge in the region of £1. 50 per mile.

the rear axle is extremely good, all the suspension brackets are in good condition unlike many other land rover rear axles of this age.
