Reluctantly for sale is my 2010 Jaguar XF 5. 0 V8 S. This is a very rare model that Jaguar only manufactured for around 18 months for the UK Market. In that time only 416 examples were sold, with around 345 left on the road today. This car is one of, if not ‘the’ prototype for that very limited run of cars.
Finished in Stratus Grey, one of the best colours for the XF, it’s only had two previous owners. The first naturally was Jaguar, then followed by a Doctor, who owned the car for around 7 years before I bought the car. The full service history is impeccable, only ever being serviced either by Jaguar or a Jaguar Specialist throughout its life. The car has been so thoroughly serviced and looked after that the original service book is actually full, with specialist services continuing on invoices, all of which come as part of the history. The second to last service I had carried out at 88, 222 miles included the all-important gearbox service, done with the correct ZF-transmission fluid, as well as having a full engine service and air conditioning re-gas. The latest service was completed on 4th January 2023 at 95, 368 miles. The current mileage sits at 96, 750 but will increase slightly as I still very much enjoy the car.
Driving perfectly, the 5. 0 V8 performs and sounds spectacular, aided by stainless steel rear exhaust silencers I had designed and fitted by Bentley & Rolls-Royce specialists. I wanted a system that was as unique as the car itself to unlock the V8 soundtrack. Yet, at the same time I wanted something that I could drive every day, without drone or annoyance. This system performs perfectly and I’ve driven the car all over the country with many compliments. Further, without the supercharger, cruising at motorway speeds can be quite economical, relatively speaking for this type of car, regularly exceeding 32mpg on long runs. Also, being a prototype and being registered as such early on in its life, the road tax is substantially less than any normal XF V8 or XFR, paying less than half of the £630+ per year that comes with such cars normally.
Being the V8 S specification it comes with de-chromed front grille, rear boot lip spoiler and the ever so comfortable and endlessly adjustable sports seats. I think that it takes this car just one step above the ‘regular’ 5. 0 V8.
During my ownership the car has benefitted from a new boot loom (Known fault with XF’s) and recent battery. Finally, the car comes with new Pirelli P-Zero tyres and an MOT until June 2023, with no-advisories. She has performed faultlessly throughout my ownership and is such a fantastic driving experience. While I wouldn’t call the condition immaculate, she’s very, very impressive for a car that’s 12 years old! I’m in no rush to sell, and would rather she went to an enthusiast that appreciates this unique Jaguar. Looking for offers around £8, 950.
