Restored 1968 Shelby GT350 Mustang Convertible Recreation 351 V8 with C6 Auto Transmission. Finished in Candy Apple Red with black leather bucket seats and interior. Black Power Hood, Power Steering, front Power Disc brakes with 10-spoke Shelby style alloy wheels fitted with Cooper Cobra tyres.
The restoration was carried out in the States prior to its importation in 2016 and the Shelby Tribute works have included: Shelby style centre console, cosmetic roll-bar, Shelby signature gauges, Shelby T-Handle shifter, correct wood-rim steering wheel, Shelby seat belts, Shelby floor mats and Shelby Cobra fuel cap. Tony Branda Shelby style Ram-Air bonnet and hood-pins and Shelby GT 350 emblem and side stripes.
Further specification includes: rebuilt 351C 4V and Edelbrock 650 carburettor, 9” Posi-Traction rear with 3:08 gear ratio, MSD electronic ignition, new rear leaf springs and shocks, new aluminium radiator and auxiliary electric fan, full length headers, dual exhaust system and new stereo with MP3 and USB connection.
Comes with a UK History File, matching spare wheel and tools and 2 sets of keys.
A quite outstanding representation of one of the 404 Shelby Mustang GT350 Convertible’s produced in 1968 making it as close to the real thing as is reasonably possible.
We have just completed a 1200-mile trip to the Scottish Highlands where this Mustang performed faultlessly and did not miss a beat. Not bad for a 54-year-old car driving some of the most challenging (and stunning) roads in the UK.
