Description
Early in Mercedes’ R129 SL production run, this 500SL was registered in May 1991 and supplied by Callanders Mercedes.
These early cars pre-facelift R129s have a more ‘classic’ style and also avoid the wiring loom issues that blighted the later mid-production run R129s SLs plus the higher output V8 engine and a more robust 4-speed automatic.

SERVICE HISTORY
The car has clearly been extremely well maintained throughout its life - the service book and invoices show 12 services by Mercedes main dealers/ specialists with notable works from John Haynes, The SL Shop and SS Motors.
In total there are c. 60 pages of maintenance invoices amounting to £20k+ and nearly all its MOT certificates are present too.
This month it has had a service plus coolant and brake fluid changed, distributor caps & rotar arms and an MOT.
All owner’s manuals are in their leather wallet along with 2 keys.
