EXTERIOR
Finished in a classic shade of Jet Black Metallic the subtle silhouette of this 991 GT3 Touring is unsuspecting at first glance, with its captivating curves unravelling as the chic finish gives way to the GT departments aerodynamic trickery at the front and vast centre mounted exhausts that protrude from the rear.
Continuing the stealthy aesthetic of the Touring this example is fitted with a matte black front spoiler, side skirts and vast rear diffuser. Other details include the optional black trim around the windows and the discrete GT3 Touring nomenclature which sits proudly upon the retractable rear spoiler.
Having covered just over 8. 3k miles from new the paint work presents beautifully, protected by a full coverage of paint protection film, it sits free from any discernible swirls or blemishes.
INTERIOR
Despite the hardcore GT3 association the interior of the 991 Touring perfectly embodies the spirit of the car, luxuriously appointed to provide an exceptional level of comfort whilst still retaining a distinct sense of driver focus. Carbon folding bucket seats, which remain in perfect condition, are upholstered in a combination of black leather stitched in yellow with technical fabric inserts to provide a significant weight saving whilst with incredible support and comfort at any speed. The lavish leather upholstery extends to the dashboard, doors and steering wheel with beautiful special request racing yellow stitching detailing the surfaces throughout to match the PCCB’s and racing yellow belts.
Ensuring the racing inception of the GT3 isn’t entirely forgotten lashings of carbon fibre can be found throughout the space, adorning the dashboard, door trim and entry sills, which come complete with illuminated GT3 branding.
The uncompromising standard of the Porsche’s interior ensures all the modern tech is still present with the inclusion of Satellite navigation system, a BOSE surround sound system, reversing camera and automatic climate control system, This example also adding a front suspension lift to its extensive spec list resulting in a GT3 that can be used comfortably everyday whilst still being blisteringly quick when the time arises.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
True to form, Porsche have stuck to a Flat-6 Engine configuration, just like they did when the first 911 was released back in 1963. Things have come a long way since then so although the configuration is the same the iteration of the famous Flat-6 in this 911 has been increased to 4. 0L, which produces 493 bhp. The stand out feature of the Touring however is the 6-speed manual gearbox; offered in place of the much fast PDK system the manual gearbox provides an unparalleled level of driver engagement, with a lightweight flywheel and fast revving flat-6 creating the ultimate set up to heel and toe through the gears.
Mechanically unchanged to the standard GT3 the main improvement to the Touring is the conic high flow BMC air-filter, which adds to the exhaust notes addictive character. Beginning with a deep bellow produced from the naturally aspirated engine low down, the note transforms to a howl through the rev range before reaching an all out scream at the top end, all amplified through its dual pipe active exhaust.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
Completing the timeless style of this 991 GT3 Touring the Satin Platinum centre lock 20? look superb and remain in showroom condition. These are wrapped in matching N1 rated Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres all around.
The 20? wheels are necessary just to house the gigantic Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes, an optional extra which are identifiable by the yellow callipers and provide unparalleled stopping power without fading in even the toughest of conditions.
HISTORY FILE
Supplied on 05/ 05/ 2018 this stunning 991 GT3 Touring is 1 of just 47 C16 UK RHD examples produced and comes with an incredible factory specification including PCCB, carbon buckets seats, front lift, extended leather and special request Racing Yellow stitching throughout.
Used sparingly its first service was carried out at Porsche’s at 1284 miles on 27/ 07/ 2018, its second service at 7566 miles on 01/ 06/ 2020 with it’s third due to be done on sale.
Present with the car is the complete original book pack, stamped service book, V5 and 2 keys.
