Description

This Lovely Factory Convertible Morris Minor, 1957 first year not split screen, comes with original registration UNE 34, within her service binder she has her original buff registration document and was supplied new to Edna Idiens in Evesham in 1957, she has had a total of 6 Owners from new with owners recorded details, to give a brief history she was owned by the Idiens for the first 10 years of life transferring to a new owner in 1967 a new then to another owner in 1974, during this period she received a gold seal replacement engine of the larger capacity 1098cc and ribbed gearbox. She was laid up from 1975 to 2007 and had at that stage covered 41087 miles. In the cars history there is a picture of a very straight Morris minor after being exhumed from storage in her original light grey paintwork. The body work was completely stripped and restored and painted in Snowberry White as you see today, with photographic evidence and the mechanicals serviced. In 2013 she changed hands at circa 45, 000 miles and the then new owner had the carpets hood and leather trim refreshed as you see today. The hood is red and excellent matching the rest of the trim with clear back window, not shown in photographs. In 2014 she gained a new owner in Dorchester who had her gearbox overhauled and new clutch fitted and added a further 10, 000 miles in their ownership. Since arriving with us the only restoration work required was to freshen the engine which has been completely rebuilt top to bottom and incorporating a lead free head for modern fuels, auxiliaries replaced or overhauled. All invoices for work completed since 2007 is within the Minors history folder along with two sets of keys and original hand book, the Minor has also been wired negative earth with later series lights fitted for safety and halogen headlight. A quality retro stereo with Bluetooth Telephone and music facility with hidden speakers fitted along with a charge point for phone or sat/ nav. The original semaphore indicators are still operational. This Superb Minor though not Concours drives superbly and is as good as you see in photographs. More has expense been lavished in restoration and update work in the last 15 years than the asking price, this Minor is looking for a new Custodian to enjoy, love and cherish her, please get in contact if you are the person.
