1989 BMW 320 320I CONVERTIBLE
Just arrived with us this week is this wonderful BMW E30 convertible .
Finished in zinnober red with a contrasting grey sports cloth interior and black canvas hood. The vehicle presents very well overall and is in very genuine condition for a vehicle that is over 30 years old. This is testament to the fact that it has had just 3 former owners from new with the 2nd owner owning for over 20 years alone. The paintwork is nice and bright on all panels and we will be treating it to a full detail prior to sale also. There is no rust to any of the arches, sills or valances which in itself is very rare on one of these , which are always an e30 achilles heel. The mileage is just over 100k which is verified by a full service history including a stamped book and invoices/ old mot’s demonstrating correct maintenance, in fact the last service was completed within 1000 miles and included spark plugs, air and fuel filter too.
It drives without fault and is a perfect summertime cruiser, the last owner has used the car as intended and even completed a trip to Le Mans in it, he was devastated to be loosing it but a lack of garage space going forward meant he ultimately had to sell.
E30 is a very popular car in the modern classic market but unfortunately there is plenty of dross around, this car represents an opportunity to acquire a genuine, solid, low owner example that will ultimately be less costly to own in the long run and will most certainly continue to appreciate in value .
If you were to improve on the car in my opinion it needs two small trim repairs to the front seats (one to the drivers headrest and one to the top of the passenger seat)
