This superbly original 1989 Jaguar Sovereign 3. 6 presents exceptionally well, having covered just 48, 000 miles from new & had just 1 owner for 30 years, it really is a true testament to them & how well they cared for the car.
Supplied new on 01/ 02/ 1989 by Henlys Jaguar of Chester to a local company of Birkenhead who owned the car for the first 3 years of its life to 1992 & subsequently maintained it with Henlys to 23, 166 miles before being sold to it's second owner on 31/ 07/ 1992 who retained the car to the present day.
The family owned a local engineering company in Saltney where the car was meticulously maintained to 37, 839 miles as stamped in the service booklet before being taken off the road in 2001 & placed in dry storage for some 20 years until 2021 when the family made the decision to sell.
Having recently been mechanically recommissioned the car had the following work carried out to return it to the road:
- Engine Oil & Filter
- Air Filter
- Fuel Filter
- Spark Plugs
- Fuel Pressure Regulator
- Brake Fluid Change
- Brake Master Cylinder
- Coolant Change
- New Battery
- Brakes Stripped, Cleaned & Adjusted
- All 4 Metric Tyres Replaced
Following the above mechanical overhaul the car was then presented for it's M. O. T test where it passed without a single advisory.
The car sits on it's period correct metric 'Tear Drop' alloys which have all just been fully refurbished & fitted with 4 brand new metric 'Nexen' tyres at a cost of over £1700 !
As one would expect for a car with such low mileage it drives entirely without fault with effortless gear changes, plenty of power from the well renowned straight six 3. 6 engine & no untoward noises whatsoever.
The interior could pass for being just a few years old with little to no signs of wear, all seats still retaining their shape & comfort as well as that unmistakable & nostalgic Jaguar leather smell.
Supplied complete with all original owners manuals in their correct green Jaguar leather wallet, stamped service booklet, both sets of original keys, full Jaguar tool kit & of course the full V5 document.
