Stunning, original condition 1935 BSA M35-11 Sloper. 600cc OHV.
Still wearing its first paint and chrome, this BSA M35-11 has a beautiful patina throughout. All nuts and bolts are pristine and have clearly not been chewed by eager home mechanics in the past. It is rare to find a pre-war bike so untouched and unworn.
The original Smiths speedo reads 24. 100kms and judging from the unmolested condition of the bike, this is the actual mileage since new.
The engine and frame numbers are correct and “matching” as confirmed by the original 1935 registration documents that accompany the bike. All history from 1935-1965 is documented. In 1965 the BSA was taken off the road and it has been on display since then.
Very original and unmolested throughout, the only deviations from original are refurbished seat covers added some time in the past, a patch weld to the right hand silencer and the left hand side exhaust pipe.
The BSA M35-11 recently had a quick check over, fresh petrol was added, a clean of the spark plug and the bike fired up third kick. The engine has a loud and deep bark. The hand gear selects accurately and freely. Clutch engages smoothly and the brakes have plenty of bite left. The rear brake is coupled with the front brake for added stopping power.
1935 was the last year of production of the 595cc OHV Sloper, so this is indeed the swan song of the BSA Sloper.
