An absolute delight to drive, we are pleased to be able to offer this 1960 Austin Healey 'Frogeye' Sprite finished in period correct red with black trim.
Offered for sale on behalf of our customer who has owned the car for over 10 years, having it regularly serviced and repaired by ourselves so we know the car well.
Originally exported to California, the car was repatriated in 1998 and thoroughly restored around that time. The climate has clearly been kind to the car and it remains in wonderfully solid condition and has retained its steel bonnet, underneath is rock solid and a stainless steel exhaust completes a positive health check undertaken by ourselves.
It was fitted with a 1275cc engine some years ago which, we assume, was a reconditioned unit as it still runs beautifully and proves spirited performance, driving through a slick easy to use gear change and a quiet differential.
These cars are an absolute hoot to drive with outstanding go-kart like handling, great for a run down to the pub or scooting around country lanes.
As a commission sale, it is offered without warranty but with the peace of mind that it has been fully inspected by ourselves prior to sale.
