Here for sale is my 2002 Suzuki GSX600F, it is in fantastic condition having covered under 4500 miles from new. I bought the bike in March 2019 as my first big bike after passing my test and it's been a great occasional commuter, tourer and weekend rider.
It's a very clean and totally standard bike, not been messed around with. I've ridden to Scotland on it and done stints of commuting on it and it's been solidly reliable. It's comfortable, reasonably quick and fairly frugal. Solid mechanicals and not really much to go wrong on it!
The bike came to me with pretty much no service history, but I bought it on around 1700 miles, so the majority of it's mileage has been in my ownership and I've kept records of any work that's been done in that time. I had new Bridgestone tyres fitted in 2019 as it was still wearing it's original Michelins from 2002! I've done my own servicing, with good quality oil and filters. I did take the carbs off and clean them out last year just as a precautionary measure as the bike has clearly spent a lot of it's life not being ridden! and replaced one indicator lens that had been cracked by a stone. I also flushed both front and rear brake fluid last summer. A set of spark plugs which I haven't had a chance to fit come with the bike as well, not that it particularly needs them, again a precautionary thing.
In the winter months it can take a little while to warm up fully but I think this seems to be a bit of a trait of the Suzuki 600's of the time. Has MOT until March '23, always passes with no major issues.
I'm selling as I've had it 3 and a half years and just fancy a change really, I'm also restoring a retro/ classic bike so the money will go towards getting that finished!
