vehicle history:
The production order dated July 28, 1969 for this stand vehicle at the Mercedes-Benz IAA trade show booth in Frankfurt. The order for this car called for the heater trim to be covered with carpet rather than upholstery leather. In addition, the organizers wanted number panel trim and stroke-limited shock absorbers. As the exhibition vehicle for the world premiere of the 3. 5 Cabriolet, chassis number 0006 is a very special vehicle in Mercedes-Benz model history.
Shortly after the exhibition, the car was sold to the USA and later re-imported to Germany. Fully restored, it was registered in Munich since 2008 and sold to Northern Germany in 2011, where it was carefully maintained and regularly driven. This vehicle offers the rare opportunity to acquire a piece of Mercedes-Benz history.
