Classic Car Design offers you this beautiful Renault 8 Major. The famous designer Philippe Charbonneau is the author of this characteristic corner design. This is the model that comes between the basic version and the "S". It is a bit like the "luxury" version with its specific interior finish and numerous exterior trims but also some interesting mechanical improvements. This car has been kept by its first owner for 30 years and has only been driven 3 times.
On the outside, the paint is very nice and shiny, without any scratches or dents. All the hubcaps, badges and chrome are present and in superb condition.
Inside, the upholstery is as good as the exterior condition. The brown fabric of the seats is perfect as well as the roof lining and all the trimmings. The dashboard materials are intact, even the small PO-GO radio works. A grey shag carpet replaces the rubber mat in the front.
Mechanically, the car is in very good condition, the 1108 cm 3 cast iron Cleon starts very well and has a nice presentation, which is not always the case on popular cars. The fully synchronised gearbox shifts easily and without noise. The car drives very well, the braking is efficient, and let's not forget that it has four discs!
With the exception of the Gordini, the R8 is certainly a popular car to rediscover, comfortable and sufficiently powerful, it offers a very pleasant driving experience. If you want to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the model in style, treat yourself to this lovely example that works beautifully.
