The Morgan Roadster is powered by a 3700cc v6 engine producing 280 bhp. The roadster is the most powerful traditional model in Morgan’s range. The overall weight of only 950kg for this aluminium car gives a power to weight ratio of around 300bhp per tonne. Power delivery is transmitted to the road through a limited slip differential with cone drive for good traction off the line. The 6 cylinder engine and 6 speed manual transmission creates a thrilling driving experience. The Morgan roadster became even more special. When in recognition of the Brooklands racing circuit, Morgan launched the Brooklands edition with a strictly limited production of just 50 vehicles. The Brooklands track opened in 1907 and was the world’s first purpose-built banked motor race circuit. Built for both speed and spectator visibility, the track was 100 feet wide and some of its banks were nearly 30 feet high. A black dotted line down the centre of the track enabled drivers to position themselves and take banked corners - at least theoretically - without using the steering wheel. Since then, Brooklands has become as synonymous with aviation as motor racing, and home to so many engineering achievements, it is a fitting inspiration for Morgan. This limited-edition Morgan was designed to celebrate the style and ancestry of British racing cars. With classic colour ways, black detailing, and satin finishes, they are both contemporary and reminiscent of a bygone era. With a comprehensive specification, uprated suspensions and a fabulous 3. 7 litre v6 engine producing 280bhp, this roadster will be rewarding to own and drive.
