Description
I bought this Daimler in 2006 as part of a modest Jaguar and Daimler collection. It was regularly serviced, maintained, repaired and upgraded by my good friend Dave Bye at West Riding Jaguar Specialists.
In 2016 I bought my first ever classic Mercedes, a 1987 420SEC coupe and shortly after that a 1992 300SL convertible and then a 1995 220 Estate I quickly filled every garage with classic Mercedes and as a result this Daimler has sat outside in all weathers, uncovered, unloved and not started or moved.
Good points are:
1) Well maintained until it was abandoned
2) timing tensioners upgraded twice during ownership
3) interior still looks and smells fantastic
4) low mileage at 128, 000
5) very rare model
Bad points are:
1) completely abandoned and neglected since 2016
2) MOT expired in 2017
3) sold as non runner spares or repairs
4) dents accumulated while abandoned
5) no the number plate isn’t included and it is currently on one of my Mercedes.
6) tyres are all bad
