A ready to jump in and use today vintage motor, it’s a cute as button and is guaranteed to make you and everyone who see’s it smile, lovely old car that has had serious money invested.
We have been out testing this lovely little car on several trips, the first to enter it into a local show, it took part in
the parade through town, won third prize and was admired all day. Then we did a 110 mile day out in Northumberland, traveling along the route of Hadrian's Wall to Wallington Hall and then back through Kielder Forest, the following weekend we took it Cragside National Trust in Northumbria, the car has never missed a beat, it has not used any oil or water, great fun to drive. We have now completed just over 400 miles, mostly with the hood down, but did catch some rain and the hood is snuff dry inside.
1937 model, starts, runs, drives, stops and turns exactly as it should, we have the current modern logbook and over £8000 of invoices for works completed by the previous long term owner, including a £2600 engine rebuild and over £3000 on the hood and interior. Starts first time every time with excellent oil pressure, fitted with an upgraded SU carb, it keeps up with modern traffic on the local roads, pulls well uphill with 2 adults onboard, 4 speed gearbox with a good clutch, brakes working as well as expected with a good handbrake, recent new radiator fitted, the oil and water are in the right places and the right colours. Very solid underneath, no undue play in the wheel bearings, no buckled wheels, again please see the video.
Extremely well finished inside with a full leather re-trim and new mohair hood and matching side screens, plenty of room behind the seats to store your picnic or weekend bag and the side screens and hood cover. Dash clocks and gauges working, as are the dash / footwell lights, the trafficators pop out and all the running lights have been updated to LED, much brighter and less load on the battery, the purist will be highly offended by this modern intrusion, but it would take less than half an hour to put old filament bulbs back in.

The car will be 86 years young next year and has signs of age and use to the panels and bodywork, it will be well received at any event and is perfectly fine to carry on being used as it is for many more years, it won third prize in a local show on the 24th Sep, all that said the paintwork has a lot of patina on close inspection.
