EXTERIOR
Originally offered in 3 colours – Polar Silver, Amethyst Metallic and Viola Metallic – this wonderful 964 sits totally original and untouched in the shade of 39G Viola Metallic. There is certainly some mystery with this gorgeous hue as the colour emerges from a very dark shade of purple, whilst on first inspection appearing solid, to reveal a very subtle silver flake upon closer scrutiny. The lustre and finish of the paint is second-to-none, encasing the car in a warm glow which has been further protected and enhanced thanks to a layer of Ceramic coating applied in July of 2022.
Rubbers and plastics show soft and supple, complimenting the bodywork with wonderful original texture, shape and colour.
INTERIOR
The period Ruffled Rubicon leather is in lovely condition with it’s matching carpet set; an unusual and alluring combination that looks and smells like the day it left the factory. The silver gear knob shows no signs of wear whilst subtle highlights such as the deep grey dials and Jahre plaque, that reads the right way in the rear view mirror, leave no doubting this is a special place to be.
Rear seats are also optioned in the ruffled Leather and present in superb condition and when not occupied can provide extra luggage space with the back rests folded down The carpet set retains a deep pile texture and feel, with genuine over mats in the front offering further protection. Modern day touring preferences are brought up to date with a Porsche Classic Communications Management (PCCM) allowing smartphone connectivity.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
Having been pampered throughout it’s time on the continent, this Jahre fires into life with that familiar flat 6 bark and settles to a smooth idle immediately. Both performance and presentation are of the highest order with slick, intuitive operation of the drivetrain.
The car feels tight and assured on test, with both switchable rear wing and all wheel drive operating quickly and smoothly upon request.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
These crested 17? Cup 1 wheels are in outstanding condition, free of cosmetic wear or corrosion. Bridgestone Potenza rubber adorns all four corners with plenty of tread depth all round.
The Black Porsche brakes, just visible through the thick 5 spoke wheels, offer excellent pad life with discs showing minimal use.
HISTORY FILE
Supplied new to Porsche Eurocar S. P. A Udine Italy in July ’93, as outlined by the original stamped service book, this example represents one of only 74 Italian market cars.
There are 7 main dealer stamps in the original service book up until until 2008 (28, 036 miles). The car then found a new home in France and would have a further 2 services with the most recent service at Porsche Centre Nantes in April 2022 (33, 575 miles) before making its way to the UK and into our care. Sitting in splendour in the showroom it has just returned from marque specialists – No5 Garage – for engine belts and an AC re-charge.
Currently on EU French de-registration papers the car is available for export back to Europe, the USA or elsewhere in the World. The car can also be registered in the UK with further taxes to pay.
