Description
First registered on 22nd August 1963 and the v5 records just 3 former keepers. This Morris has had a considerable amount of money spent on it in the last few years including new gearbox, rear shock absorbers and inertia front seat belts.
The bodywork is absolutely sound with no rust issues. The woodwork again is very good as can be seen in pictures. It is finished in a Matt green, we are not really sure if it has just gone very flat or actually painted Matt. We were told by the previous owner that it was possibly an ex army traveller, but we cannot substantiate this.
On the road it performs without fault with no transmission noises.
Now what sets this apart from many other travellers is the underside. It has had new rear dampers as previously mentioned. It is fitted with a full stainless exhaust system, new rear springs and shackles, new tie bar bushes and the real bonus is that most of the structure has been replaced. New rear chassis legs, boot panels, rear spring mounts, centre crossmember, front chassis legs, engine bay trays etc. There are no nasty welded plates anywhere and it needs absolutely nothing doing underneath
It’s a difficult decision to make, weather to paint it or just leave it as is. We all know there are plenty of nice shiny examples out there, that are not so good underneath. This car is the opposite.
We have just submitted it for an mot, which it passed with no advisories. We would welcome any inspection on this car or can send additional pictures on request.
