We are very pleased to offer a stunning low mileage 1996 Rover Mini Equinox, finished in metallic Platinum Silver with colour coded wheel arches and Minilite alloys with wider profile Yokohama Tyres. Equinox Minis have always been a one of the most popular of all the Rover Limited edition Minis with the Astral Moon and Stars theme and half leather interior. Equinox Minis were available in three colours and only 750 were made in total making them very rare these days and to find and one in this condition with super low mileage is even rarer. This example has only had three previous owners, and was registered new by Wadham Kenning in Southampton and is accompanied with all its original handbooks, fully stamped service book and a raft of service receipts, it also has both its original Alarm fobs and sets of keys.
On the road this Equinox is a real pleasure to drive. The 1275cc low mileage fuel injected engine is very willing and smooth and provides great power, the gearbox is also taught and precise. This Mini has a very precise feel and is at home on the twisty stuff. This is a single point fuel injected Mini so all you need to do is turn the key and go, further features include an alarm and immobiliser, rear seat belts and servo operated disc brakes. A side exit RC40 exhaust gives it a subtle burble.
Equinox Minis have one of the nicest limited edition interiors that Rover produced, and this one is in fantastic original condition with many useful extras. It has a full length walnut dash with 6 dials including a rev counter, oil pressure, analogue clock and volt meter. It also has a very nice wood rim steering wheel and matching door caps. The stereo has been upgraded with a multi Pioneer CD player and it also has a USB and 12V socket. The Equinox themed half leather seats, carpets and roof liner are in all vey good condition, a testament to this Minis cared for life.
This Mini has a very original solid shell and is presented in fantastic condition, it has its original boot floor with unused factory spare wheel, original vented sills, body coloured floor pans and solid subframes. The paintwork is well presented with only very minor age related marks but it really does belie its 26 year vintage. This is a good looking Mini.
The Mini has been fully serviced, checked and driven and has long no advisory MOT so is ready to be driven and enjoyed.
