Classicwise is lucky enough to present to you this very rare vehicle indeed!
One of just 150 UK RHD MGA 1600 Twincam Coupes supplied from the factory and one of just a handfull to survive to this day!
This car was registered from new with the first owner in March 1959 as a Black coupe with red trim as she is presented today while accompanied by a reassuringly comprehensive history file. The car was well known within the MGA circles in the 1970's and 1980's where it competed with success at many concours events.
In with the file is a documented and photographed "ground up" restoration which was completed to an estonishing standard prior to it being prepared and "refreshed in 2006 by THE MGA specialist in the UK Mr Bob west. At this point it was decided that the exterior of the car should be bare metal painted. The quality of the bodywork today is as good as it was completed 16 years ago!
While with bob west it was prepared to compete in regularity rallys with the fitment on the front spot light bar, strict inspection of the suspension, brakes and drive train and the fitment of a "Brantz" tripmeter. The car however was never known to have been used for rallying.... maybe the condition was seen to be just too good?
Today the car is in fine stead just as before. It will be supplied with 12 months MOT and a major service * subject to a final deal" and will stand up to the most rigorous of inspections!
