Porsche 968 only 112, 700 miles
Grand Prix White with Classic Grey interior. Beautiful car in a colour which suits it very well.
Great condition, leather sports (high bolster) seats. All electrics work. Removable hard top, which is a great option (makes the car feel like a targa).
6 speed manual, fantastic 3. 0 Variocam motor-
237bhp, 0-60 in 6. 5 seconds, 156mph top speed.
The combination of a near-50:50 weight distribution, rear-wheel-drive, and the same suspension used in the 944 Turbo makes a fantastic handling car. In fact, at time of release, many magazines regarded it as the best handling car of that year. It is pretty practical, too, thanks to its sizeable hatchback boot and decent fuel economy.
Within the last 3 years (last 5000 miles) she’s had new cambelt, balance belt plus guides and tensioners, waterpump, all new brakes front and rear, clutch master cylinder, throttle body, new rear shocks (including h&r lowering springs), new front shocks, 4 wheel alignment, new rear bearings, wheels powder coated, all paint in very good condition (was resprayed around 8yrs ago). All electrics work as should, including sunroof. Carpets and seats n excellent condition (although a previous owner has retreated the front seats and they appear to have a blueish tinge in certain light, easily remedied though). Last service just under 2000 miles ago. 4 new Michelin Pilot Sport4 tyres- I think it’s fair to say she’s in fine fettle! There is a replacement service book with the car but unfortunately the original service book has been misplaced at some point (although Porsche will provide previous history if required).
It must be noted that the car was subject to an insurance claim some 18yrs ago, was professionally repaired and has been on the road ever since.
So in short she starts, drives and stops as a 968 should. An excellent drive in a well balanced car, the front engined transaxle Porsches are really coming into their own now.
The vehicle is not in need of any work, either mechanically or cosmetically.
