Ford Anglia E494A. This car was fully resprayed by Colebrook's and Stilton and finished in Rolls Royce Ultra Black. This was completed in 2014 at a cost of £5, 000
Complete interior restoration has been carried out in an Oxblood Art Deco style. This was completed in 2015 and cost approximately £5, 000. The original seat frames were used for this. This remains immaculate with all new carpets , headlining etc.
The original early style Bakelite dash panel and door capping's are fitted.
Original wheels have been restored and have chrome embellishers fitted.
The cross-ply tyres have been replaced and have not done many miles at all, having only been used for local tours and shows.
Bumpers are custom made, we do have the originals too , that will go with the car.
Modern upgrades have been made , mainly to the lighting . Halogen front headlamps, the original semaphores are there and do move , however the wiring has been re directed to conventional indicators. LED lamps have been fitted to all rear lights . Also LED Fog lights have been fitted which operate off the dash , these can easily be disconnected if not needed, but a help in modern traffic.
There is a fair amount of documentation, including an invoice for full engine rebuild . The paintwork is immaculate and super straight . The piano Black shine is testament to a fantastic job .
She is still equipped with vacuum operated windscreen wipers.
A rare metal exterior sun-visor has been fitted.
headlamp peaks are fitted with the Ford logo embossed in them.
Previous owner of 20 years who was a side valve owners club member won many prizes with this car and was his pride and joy.
