Here we have for sale a very desirable October 1955 Austin Healey 100 BN2 finished in the sensation Healey Blue Metallic with Gun Metal wires, a Navy interior and Navy wet weather gear. This original 4 speed overdrive car is fresh from a full restoration by a UK based classic car specialist.
Specification of this BN2 is very high with the engine comfortably exceeding original 100M performance due to a very high compression engine with a 100M camshaft, uprated pistons, 100M carburettors and 123 mappable ignition timing. These performance modifications a further supported by a large core radiator, a high torque starter motor, cable throttle conversion, electronic ignition and unleaded conversion for greater reliability and longevity.
The restoration of this late 100 was undertaken between 2021 and 2023. In March 2023 we completed a post restoration shakedown and tuneup where we fitted a 123 distributor, adjusted the carburettors and made further revisions and adjustments to the suspension, brakes, roof and more to make this Healey a truly fantastic driving experience. Performance is very strong for a 100 and the car feels exceptionally tight. During this period we added 60 miles onto the car to aid break-in and test it for reliability.
Inside the newly trimmed interior is as new and all upholstered in matching Navy trim. The original gauges have been cleaned up, with much of the switchgear and interior chrome newly replaced. The hood is a correct to factory original new Everflex replacement in navy.
