In excellent condition, Island Blue with white roof and the original body is entirely repair and rust free. Arguably one of the best Mk1 Cooper S cars in existence.
Just 3 owners from new and very low mileage. The car was built on 5. 4. 1966 and registered on the 2. 5. 1966 by RJ Evans & Kitchen for its 1st owner, a Cornish hotelier. He apparently kept it garaged for extended periods and sold it to the 2nd owner on 26. 6. 2000. The present owner purchased it on 15. 9. 2007 and has driven just 1200 miles in the past 16 years. All owners addresses and mileage are verifiable.
Specification includes a tweaked Oselli engine, twin tanks, reclining seats, oil cooler and rev counter. Shod with genuine Minilite wheels and Falken 165/ 70 tyres but also comes with the original steel wheels and chrome hubcaps.
It also has an interesting registration number from new DJO 1D and has a Heritage certificate. This is a matching numbers car. Must surely be one of the very best Mk1 Cooper S models in exisatance.
