SUMMARY
Originally supplied by Lancaster, Europa, Sheffield, this last of the line W203 Estate features the vary rare and sought after Sport specification, which includes upgraded seats, suspension as well as AMG bumpers and side skirts. However in true Mercedes fashion of that era, although it feels solid and planted on the road, it isn't overdone, and is still retains its the trademark very comfortable ride. I bought this car in Oxfordshire last October, and really enjoyed the drive home, especially as it provides superb fuel economy too, and averaged almost 50mpg.
The OM646 engine in this car, is one of Mercedes most durable units and regularly proven to reach six figure mileages with absolute ease, so at a mere 92, 000 miles, which is very low for any car of this age, let alone a Mercedes Estate, this car is just about run in. In "200 tune" the performance and economy are perfectly balanced, so although there's plenty of low down torque for overtaking and effortless cruising, the fuel economy as I've previously mentioned, is superb, its also in a cheaper road tax band, and strangely for a diesel of this era, its ULEZ compliant too.
This car really does look the part, and I think the W203 Estate is a design thats matured well, and has to be one of pretiest Estate cars of the era, so if youre looking for a something with a bit of class, which is cheap to run, but really does look the part, then this is for you. I've taken great care (and expense) in the preparation of this vehicle, so the new owner can just get in and drive, and if looked after could go on for many years yet.
