1988 BMW E30 318i Coupe Restored
Regrettably for sale is my E30. I had plans to never sell it but unfortunately I just don't have the space to keep it anymore in a garage and never have any time to enjoy it.
I have spent ££££'s on the car with a ton of new parts. The car was originally from the Stocks BMW dealer in Ipswitch and was first registered on 08 June 1988.
It's now on 123k original miles.
Just recently sailed through its last MOT so has a fresh 12 months ticket ready for the next owner.
It just had a full professional respray not long ago in the original colour Zinnoberrot Red with the invoice present.
It runs and drives beautifully especially for a 35 year old car. It has never let me down once and always gets attention everywhere it goes. Always starts first time everytime and I would happily get in and do a long road trip without a single worry!
I have full extensive service history/ records with the car & tons of paperwork with 31 entries in the service book.
It always had anything it ever needed regardless of cost to preserve it and keep it running for many more years!
I also have every MOT pass certificate since 1992 when it had its first inspection.
The first owner had the car for over 20+ years and it was garaged all its life hence the really nice condition.
The car is in my most personal desirable spec being a non sunroof coupe with manual steering and manual windows. I was searching for the right car for a very long time before buying this as I planned to keep it forever as mentioned above but needs must unfortunately.
I have personally done the last full service myself at 122, 004 miles which consisted of: Engine oil + filter, air filter, gearbox oil, diff oil, coolant flush, fuel filter, NGK spark plugs, new HT leads and a new thermostat.
Chassis/ Exterior:
-Full respray along with some minor rust repair (after MOT advisory) to preserve it
-Fully sealed underneath just like factory made
-HPI Clear/ Accident free
-Prosport coilovers (only a few months old)
-Ta Technix back box with twin slash cut tips (sounds perfect with a nice tone & not loud at all)
-Full BMW complete toolkit
-New wiper blade arms
-15” BBS wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport 3 tyres all round
-Original Stocks BMW dealer number plates
-2 keys
-Central locking
Engine/ Drivetrain:
-M40B18 engine
-5 speed manual gearbox
-Had a brand new clutch/ flywheel only a few thousand miles ago
-Had 4 timing belts since new! Most recent one was done at the same time the clutch was fitted.
-New oil spray bar
-New rocker cover gasket
-Starter motor was replaced at 116, 682 miles
-Water pump was done at 119, 111 miles
-New auxillary belt
-New fan clutch
-New battery
Interior:
-Interior is in excellent condition. The car was sat in a garage most of its life and is not plauged with common issues such as ripped seats or a cracked dashboard.
-All heater controls work
-Instrument cluster works
-Windows work great
-Electric mirrors again in good working order
-Leather door cards
-New bonnet release mechanism
-Subwoofer in boot
-BT Stereo
-Genuine Nardi wooden steering wheel
These cars are getting pretty hard to find now especially in this condition. A sought after appreciating classic 80's BMW. It is a really nice example.
