Mazda mx5 NB 1. 8 Jaspen Conran Special Edition (2001)
I have owned and this car for 3 year for which it has been nothing but reliable. Moving house has meant a longer commute to work and forced my hand to replace it with a sensible diesel as my daily and I don’t have space for two cars.
Summary:

- Torsen LSD from factory
- Lovely leather seats from this edition in good condition.
- Sills and chassis rails done by previous owner at Thrussington MX5 specialist
- Standard catWork done during my ownership:
- Toyo proxes all around (still good thread)
- Transmission and diff oil changed
- Shifter boot reconditioned
- Fast road alignment - very stable at the rear
- Front disks and pads, front callipers blasted and resprayed
- Lowered 30mm on Eibach springs
- Clear reflectors / indicator lights
- Tinted real light
- Driver seat foamectomy so taller drivers will fit
- Sony single din bluetooth head unit
Not selling as a perfect example, but an honest one.
So some bad bits:
- LH sill and arch starting to show rust again. RH not perfect. See photos.
- Front bumper cracked and scratched from being hit with a tow-bar. See photo.
- Car was keyed down to metal on LH side. See photo.
- No issues with shifting but the release bearing is whining.
- Roof could do with a change if storing the car outside.
