I bought this car from the Classic and Sports Car Centre, North Yorkshire on 18th October 2016. The engine was rebuilt during April 2019 with the mileage then at 39, 402. The head was converted to unleaded and new standard size pistons were fitted. There was no need to rebore as the bores had no wear to them, suggesting this might be a low mileage car.
'Hercules' starts on the key, the oil pressure is good, the interior of the car is tidy and the exterior paintwork has a good shine, but could benefit from some extra attention.
There is a file of MOTs and work done, boxes of spares and club magazines., plus exterior cover.
The present MOT expires on 26. 10. 24. and there have been 9 previous owners. I bought the A40 as it was one of my first cars having passed my test. It is easy to maintain and took me back to my youth.
