Beschreibung
First registered on the 9th of August, 1966, this is a very early production Silver Shadow with only 2 previous keepers and 2, 347 miles on the clock. Reluctant sale as it was bought by my father as a restoration project a few years ago, but he no longer has the time or space to keep it along with his other cars, and so we have convinced him to sell it to someone who will put her back on the road.
She starts and drives, but misses occasionally due to what we suspect is the fault of old petrol, as the longer she runs the smoother she gets. Transmission shifts well, but she will need to be trailered away as the brake pedal goes to the floor. Parking brake works just fine. Power steering also works nicely, and is exceptionally light, as you would expect.
The interior is in good condition, with the only exceptions being the driver's seat, driver's floor mat, and dashboard leather. Electric windows used to work before being put in storage, but all bar the front passenger side window have since stopped. Motors can be heard attempting to move the windows, so it's likely that the regulators just need freeing up. The power seats work flawlessly, as does the radio and the various other interior functions.
The elephant in the room is obviously the bodywork. As can be seen in the pictures, the lower portions of the body are in need of repair, but included in the sale will be both right and left hand "Front Wing Rear Repair Sections (Flying Spares part numbers SSNF7 and SSNF8)", both right and left hand "Rear Wing Rear Repair Sections (Flying Spares part numbers SSNF9 and SSNF10)", and "Right Hand Rear Wheel Arch (Flying Spares part number SSNF4)". Also included is 2 gallons of "Shell Grey" paint. Rare car with original low miles documentation to prove it.
