Description
1964. 5 289CI V8 D Code Manual 4Speed Coupe Ford Mustang from Arizona, Imported in 2019 by Muscle Car UK. 1 Former Keeper in the UK before myself. 9000 'indicated' mileage. The car is currently dry stored and has been since importation to the UK.
This is an original Manual 4Speed, Original 289 ' D Code' Car which is becoming increasingly rare.
In 1964, an intermediate performance version of the 289 (D Code) was introduced (K code being the top Performance model) over the standard 170ci 6cyl and the 260ci V8. The D Code 289 exhibited a four barrel carb and 9. 0:1 compression rated to 210HP at 4, 400RPM and 300lb/ ft (407NM) at 2800RPM.
The car has been resprayed a stunning metallic silver Grigio Mercury and presents well with only two rust sites, bottom right of the rear window and the sill on the passenger side. These are both less than 10mm in diameter and the paint has just started to bubble.
in my own ownership since 2022, the car has been treated to a number of upgrades, see below;

Prior to my care, the car was treated to a host of body restorations at Airfield Classics, receipts and history file to prove this along with additional paperwork from the US to support the cars history. It also has had new leaf springs fitted to the rear and a brand new water pump. Along with these upgrades the best of all is the new custom stainless steel straight-through exhaust which you have to hear to believe.
Thanks for viewing this advert and please feel free to contact me for any more details you may need, I will happily send over a video of the exhaust note...
