Historical Significance – The 1964½ Mustang Legacy
Ford's release of the Mustang in April 1964 marked one of the most important product launches in automotive history. These early production Mustangs—referred to today as 1964½ cars—sparked a new market segment: the “pony car.” Lightweight, stylish, affordable, and sporty, the Mustang became an icon almost instantly.
The fastback body style, introduced shortly after launch, was the most performance-focused variant and produced in significantly lower numbers than coupes, making early Fastbacks especially sought after by collectors.
This car, built in November 1964, sits firmly in that early-production window, benefiting from the historical desirability associated with the first generation of Mustang fastbacks.
Why This Mustang Fastback Is a Strong Investment
Early-production Fastbacks are among the most collectible classic Mustangs
Restored in its original factory colour combination
Comes with its original numbers-correct engine
Beneficial upgrades (brakes, steering, heating) while maintaining originality

This car blends authentic presentation with modern reliability—ideal for someone who wants a valuable classic that can be confidently driven.
