Description
1974 Suzuki RL 250 cc "Exacta" Twin Shock Trials Bike , Japanese manufacturers in all branches of off road motorcycle sport offered Trials and Motocross machines. The RL 250 cc Exacta trials bike for 1974 marked Suzuki's first attempt at producing a Trials machine . The single cylinder two stroke engine delivered 18bhp @ 6000rpm and 16. 6 ft. lbs of torque at 6500 rpm . The frame was considered in its day a bit to heavy and to have a slow turning ability hence the latter "Beamish" framed examples marketed under the Suzuki Motor Co banner . Subsequently the early "Exacta" in its original form is rare to see today . This example has been the subject of a full and detailed restoration and presents in my opinion to a show standard . One for the collector of classic competition motorcycles
