This car has been in my family for around 17 years, with 3 previous owners before me. Unfortunately I can no longer afford to run it alongside my main vehicle so I am looking for a good home for it to go to.
Service history is included up to about 17 years (I will amend this once I know for sure) and the MOT expires at the end of July.
This car was bought privately by myself (from a relative) in September 2022.
The overall condition is good, however there is so minor cosmetic damage (frayed stitching on hood, small mark on front bumper, small paint bubble at base of antenna). I believe these could be easily remedied by someone looking to revamp an MX5. I had my first driving lesson in this car and given it's history in the family, it does have sentimental value. I'm sure it would also provide sentimental value to whoever purchases it.
For a 26 year old car, it drives immaculately. It doesn't have power steering, but that adds to the fun of it! It's a great car to drive around country roads on a sunny weekend.
There is also a large following in the UK specifically for MX5 MK1's, known as the MX5 Owners Club who have annual meets across the country. Owning one of these will make you part of that community, which I believes adds to the car in ways that you don't find with a typical modern car.
