An absolutely superb example, first registered on 1st August 1977, and with only 85, 000 miles, this MGB GT is one not to be missed.
We are pleased to offer it for sale once again, having sold it some three years ago to a customer with exacting standards. It has therefore been extremely well maintained and is for sale only because of lack of time to use and enjoy the car regularly, as it deserves.
This car was extensively rebuilt between 2008 to 2010, including all necessary body repairs and a full respray. The mechanics were also rebuilt, including the engine. The interior was retrimmed, including leather seat covers. There is a good history file detailing work carried out.
The paintwork is very good indeed, with excellent finish and just a small minor blemish. The interior is like new, including headlining.
Underneath, the car is extremely clean and tidy and not caked up with underseal. The under-bonnet area is like new.
It starts immediately and drives very well indeed with excellent performance, enhanced by a few little tweaks under the bonnet, including K & N filters and electronic ignition. The oil pressure is as it should be, there is no overheating and the engine ticks over very smoothly. On driving, we find the car to be very smooth, with good gearbox and overdrive, good brakes and nice, tight suspension, having just been re-polybushed.
The Pirelli tyres are in good condition all round, as are the ‘Minilite’ type wheels.
All in all, an excellent car with good paperwork and will come with new MOT.
