With us at RFH Classics we have this charming 1977 (R) MGB 1. 8 Roadster finished in Glacial White with Black interior trim. The car was supplied by us to its former owner just over 3 years ago and he has now decided to go for an MGF to replace it. The car is in lovely condition and was the subject of an extensive older restoration which the history file indicates was undertaken around 1996 including a Zeibart protection hence why under the bonnet is black. Clearly they made a very good job of the work as the car still looks stunning today in what would have been its original factory colour. The interior is now trimmed in Black and the car benefits from a replacement roof with opening rear window. In the office we have a very substantial history file for the car including extensive MOT history that shows the car has done less than 700 miles over the past 3 years. The MOT history also shows that the car has had very little usage in general as records indicate the car had done just over 12k in 1996. Also within the file there is the Heritage Certificate confirming the build details of the vehicle. The history is nicely compiled in date order so at a quick glance you can clearly see the work undertaken over the years.
These rubber bumper cars are becoming increasingly popular now with values increasing year on year. As it left the factory, the car is currently fitted with the standard Rostyle wheels that have been recently refurbished however if required we can supply the car with a new set of Minilite style Alloy Wheels with New Tyres for an additional £699, these really do help of set the car. The car has just been through the workshop and we have replaced all the road springs and shock absorbers taking the car back to standard road height as in our opinion the original set up was better than the lowered springs is arrived back to us with. This particular vehicle has the benefit of being fitted with an Ivor Searle unleaded engine that was fitted in 1997 so has only covered just over 10k. It starts up lovely with great cold and hot oil pressure and it benefits from being fitted with Overdrive, which was also replaced, for use in 3rd and 4th gear. If you are looking to buy an MGB then this one has to be high up there on the list.
