I understand the first owner kept this fabulous little car from new until 2019, servicing it 23 times at Bell&Colvill (Lotus). I’ve owned it since 22. 06. 2021, having bought it from a chap who owned it briefly before deciding to buy a Renault Alpine. It has 3 previous owners. I'm only selling now (and with huge regret), as we are emigrating shortly to South East Asia.
Limited edition 699, so one of the last ones.

The service history is amazing, truly regardless of cost and I doubt there are any left with such a low mileage and yet such a full history, including 4 cambelt changes, with all receipts to back this up. It drives superbly and runs very smoothly. Whilst very low mileage the car has the advantage of never being left idle for years on end, so has been in constant, though limited use. Service history:

Under my ownership, in addition to £940. 17 cambelt service:-
2022 Fitted Hi Spec – Lotus Elan Grooved Brake discs and pads (Parts cost £664. 30), hugely improving braking
Replaced alarm/ imobiliser (original notoriously unreliable and troublesome)
Replaced windscreen as delaminating
Dinitrol cavity wax treatment, replaced sponge like sound proofing
20. 04. 2023 fitted Elan M100 LED Headlamp kit (parts cost £462. 23)

The hood is excellent and the rear screen clear - I presume its been replaced at some stage though haven't waded through the receipts to confirm. The bodywork is original, so as is usual with Elans is peppered with stone chips – it also has several spots with laquer peel. I left the car with a body specialist over the winter for a full respray ‘’in their own time’’. Unfortunately when chasing them in March they had not started and told me that they were so busy it would not be possible to start before the following winter. So while presentable the car would, in my opinion, benefit from a full respray.
Number plate by separate negotiation. Has the potential to be one of the very best around.
