The 80s icon from Mercedes-Benz, now available at Carel Wüst Classics. One of the two models without a predecessor and without a successor, which makes this sporty style icon truly special! She first saw the light of day in France in 1985, and since then, she has covered 248, 000 kilometers behind the 15-hole "manhole cover" wheels. In 1985, she was delivered as an untouched purist, with 185 pure horsepower and coil springs, as it should be. She wears the color "smoke silver" metallic, combined with "Karo" upholstery. She does have some minor drawbacks as well. In the past, she was equipped with the aftermarket option of "zebrano wood" interior trim. That, in itself, is not a disaster as it was fitting for the time. Unfortunately, someone tried to remove it without causing damage, which was hopeless from the start. This is evident from the damages on the door panels. Not a major issue, but worth replacing or repairing. The ABS light is on, and according to the previous owner, the window switch does not work flawlessly. Additionally, if you look closely, some past paint and repair work were not flawless. It's certainly not bad, and if there's something to nitpick about, please bear in mind that she has impeccably withstood the test of time for over 37 years! The previous owner, by the way, is a true car enthusiast who took very good care of this car. She is equipped with the valuable Becker radio-cassette player and the optionally available electrically operated sliding roof. The drivetrain with the accompanying "dogleg" 5-speed gearbox is as it should be, original, and unaltered. It's no wonder that prices for these rare 80s sporty style icons are rising rapidly. In short, a unique opportunity to acquire a piece of special automotive history with the highest imaginable dose of driving pleasure!
