I’ve now moved home and will be driving the car to Warwickshire soon if that is a more convenient location to view.
The Jaguar Mk IX (9) was the final variation of this model so has the larger 3. 8 litre straight six XK engine. Running in standard spec with twin carbs, automatic gearbox and disc brakes.
The car had a full bare metal restoration in the late 90s early 00s however the owner at this time did not want it documented.
Interior has the original leather trim and single seats at the front rather than a bench seat. I renewed the head lining a few years ago.
It is finished in old English white which was a change of colour at the time of restoration. The paintwork remains in good condition. I bought the car approximately ten years ago when given the opportunity to take early retirement. My use of it was for my own enjoyment and what better way to enjoy such a great looking car than with a bride in the back. So I did two or three weddings a year as a hobby until covid hit and have only done one of the postponed ones since.
So now I’m not doing the miles in the car it deserves and it’s time for someone else to do so.
The car has always been garaged during my ownership and been maintained by myself. It starts on the button every time helped by having the relatively new twin 12v batteries on continuous conditioner charge. Since the change in MOT rules for historic class cars I’ve had it tested biennially and am confident in its Road worthiness.
Viewing is recommended for this beautiful looking car and I’m happy ti discuss at any reasonable time of the day.
