motodrome are pleased to offer this rather lovely 1971 MG B roadster, finished in it’s original colour of Teal Blue, with magnolia leather interior piped in blue. .
Specification includes

• Fully trimmed interior with Connolly leather in magnolia piped blue, and blue carpets

• Trimmed boot to match the interior
Odometer reading 46000m, and the last owner has had it since 2015.
History-wise, we have a large file going back to 1990, which shows it was restored around the original shell in 1991 by Abbey Classics, and 32 years later it still looks really nice, with excellent shut lines and no bubbling on the wing seams.
The body restoration included, but wasn’t limited to:
• 2 new front wings
• 2 doors
• OSR full quarter panel
• LH door to lamp panel
• New bootlid
• New bonnet
• 2 full sill sets and splash shields
Abbey Classics further installed a reconditioned engine, gearbox and overdrive, fully rebuilt the front and rear suspension, rebuilt the brakes and changed all hydraulic pipes to copper. Also all new chrome, and the interior was retrimmed to how it is now.
In 2001 at 31500 miles, Brown and Cook Ltd replaced the engine with a reconditioned unit to lead-free spec, fully balanced and with a 270 cam, and new clutch, and it remains in rude heath 22 years on.
We have the heritage certificate for it, showing it’s an original RHD home-market car in it’s original exterior colour, built 16/ 11/ 70 and dispatched to the MG dealer in Stoke on Trent.
A previous owner has obtained all the original keeper records from DVLA. Current V5 shows 5 previous keepers.
It’s RFL, MOT and ULEZ exempt, and presents exactly as it’s supposed to – a nicely settled-in older restoration with some patina.
