Majestic Buick Eight Roadmaster "Sedanette" from 1949 in very good condition powered by a in line Fireball 8-cylinder that makes the car drive very smooth with a Dynaflow transmission.
Exterior:
The Royal Maroon paint is apart from a little chip at the hood in very good condition. All the chrome details are also in very nice shiny condition. The wheels are detailed with chrome hub caps and beautiful white wall tires.
Interior:
The interior is in very good condition. The seats are a mix of cloth and leather and are very comfortable, there is no sign of any rips or tears here. The carpets do not have any color difference anywhere and are very clean. Also really beautiful in the interior, is that the roof lining is the same cloth as the seats.
Mechanics:
This Buick is equipped with a Fireball inline 8-cylinder that produces almost 150 horsepower. The car is also equipped with a very smooth 2-speed Dynaflow transmission. For more information about the mechanics, please contact us.
History:
The Roadmaster received its first major postwar restyling in 1949. Its wheelbase and overall length were reduced but its weight was marginally increased. The biggest change was a much larger two-piece, curved glass windshield that the sales brochure described as like an "observation car." It was also in 1949 that Buick introduced "VentiPorts." Four were displayed on each of the Roadmaster and Century's front fenders,[8] with three on the fenders of the Super and Special to denote junior level products. The sales brochure noted that VentiPorts helped ventilate the engine compartment, and possibly that was true in early 1949, but sometime during the model year they became plugged.
