Beschreibung
1991 Volkswagen LT31, 2. 4 6 cylinder petrol. Roughly 25, 000 miles from new. Imported myself from Germany and dealer Martin Oberschulte in Dortmund (check out his vehicle listings to see the exceptional quality of the vehicles he deals in). I bought this vehicle with roughly 9, 000 miles on the clock from new.
Full service history including original German registration documents, original transfer plates and old German mot certificates.
Came from a small village fire department hence the low mileage and exceptional condition for its age. Was dry stored all its life until I took it on an adventure covering a lot of countries in Europe multiple times mostly using A roads as opposed to the grey dull and boring motorways. This van has so much torque it makes minced meat out of long slow inclines.
MOT until end of December 2023 with no advisories. (Please check MOT history) Runs and sounds perfect.
Serviced regularly, even if it’s not been driven as much these last couple of years, at MAN truck specialists in U. K. (going in end of September) and WRC approved mechanic in Girona, Catalonia. Always cared for and quality parts added. All stamped in service book with invoices to back it up.
Recent new tyres, recent new exhaust down pipe, recent new battery, waterproof Campervan cover, roof mounted ladder rack, no rust on chassis, small amount of surface rust on some lower sections of the van that’s appeared in the last 12/ 18m (taken to paint shop and told it’s not worth paying for as it an easy job to touch up) only apparent when you get close to the van. Internal van floor insulated and quality hard wood floor fitted, full working sirens and lights, remaining insulation and other related bits I’ve picked up included in the sale. Sony CD player with Bluetooth and usb with JBL speakers fitted by professional music studio designers/ fitters and audio technicians. This sounds nice and loud and clear.
This is a really well maintained and solid classic van. It doesn’t need anything spending on it only some small work to the isolated surface rust that will need sorting. It’s a stunning van and could be converted into a nice day van or work van as it really brings a lot of attention.
I wish I could keep this van, it’s something that makes you smile when you drive it and makes other people smile as you drive past them. You re-live this every time you jump into it. But, I lost my overseas work and I need the money from the van for other things (I’ve just had my first baby).
Genuine reason for sale and to someone who’s not put off by it being a left hand drive, it’s an amazing van and will last a lot longer than it’s current 30+ years given how well it’s been looked after by the German Fire Brigade and myself. And it’s all documented.
Please feel free to contact the MOT centre WS Broads or A. N Richards (MAN Trucks) in Froncysyllte in North Wales for their opinion of it if you’re serious and I’m sure they will back up what I’m saying. The 6 cylinder petrol engine sounds amazing. When stopped at lights or at a junction, people walking by regularly pass comment or ask to Rev the engine a little.
It has sirens and lights. The sirens are really loud.
Sony CD (Bluetooth usb) player with JBL speakers in custom made speaker housing. Installed by professional music studio designers/ fitters/ audio technicians. The sound is quality.
