Beschreibung
Very potent MG BGT V8 with 3. 9 litre TVR spec Rover engine.
Built at a cost of around £40, 000 and utilising a new Heritage shell this innocent looking MG delivers serious performance.
The engine features a lightened and balanced flywheel, Crower Comp U pro camshaft, Edelbrock duplex roller timing chain and Edelbrock performance carburetter.
Power is transmitted via an RV8 clutch to a TVR LT77 five-speed gearbox and MG C back axle.
Front and rear suspension is Frontline Costello.
The car was built over some years and was finally finished in 2019. Since then less than 350 miles have been covered so it is essentially a new car.
Wheels are Minilite 6J shod with new Goodyear Hydragrip 205/ 65 R15 tyres.
Braking is via MG V8 discs at the front with four pot calipers and drums at the rear.
Fitted with electronic ignition, electric fan, oil cooler and fuel pressure regulator.
Interior features new leather seats, walnut veneer dash and Mountney wood rimmed steering wheel.
There are a few minor blemishes in the Old English White paintwork.
The MG is an exciting car to drive with a very sweet free revving engine and feels very sure footed with nicely weighted steering; it will bring a smile to your face.
There is an extensive file containing all the receipts for the build.
The car is correctly registered as a 1968 MG BGT 3. 9 litre and is classed as an Historic vehicle.
A video of the car can be viewed on the St Andrews Autos YouTube channel.
We would consider taking an interesting classic vehicle in part exchange.
