Vehicle history:
The Mercedes-Benz 190 SL is currently one of the most sought-after automotive classics on the classic car market with a strong increase in price (almost a doubling of market prices in the last ten years). Perfectly restored examples cost up to 200, 000 euros. With a 190 SL export quota of almost 80%, only just over 5, 000 new vehicles were delivered in Germany.
This Mercedes-Benz 190 SL was manufactured in Stuttgart in December 1960. It was delivered to Daimler Benz of North America at Rockefeller Center in New York. From there, the vehicle was delivered to the launch customer in the USA and registered for the first time in 1961. Twenty years ago, this 190 SL returned to Germany as a restoration object. Horst Kronseder from Erding, who specializes in the restoration of Mercedes-Benz 190 SL vehicles, then took this SL under his wing. In 2013, the car shone again in the color silver blue as on the day of first delivery. The full restoration was a perfect success and the blue leather interior with the blue soft top fit perfectly with the overall appearance. The restoration is documented by many photos. Since completion, only 11, 531 kilometers have been driven in good weather. A current value appraisal is on hand.
