Description
1932 Riley Gamecock - excellent condition throughout
Following its introduction in the Autumn of 1931, the Riley Gamecock attracted considerable interest, with its low-slung styling while the body featured a long tail offering very good luggage capacity - a feature not seen on any other small sporting two seaters at that time.
The sporting theme was continued with a fold flat windscreen and a rakish, purposeful appearance.
This example was first registered in January 1932, so is very likely to be of 1931 manufacture.
Extensively restored to a very good standard with only around 1000 miles covered subsequently, this Riley drives extremely well and has the benefit of a higher rear axle ratio.
The engine has been rebuilt with a Merlin crankshaft.
A really well sorted sporting Riley with great character, it is a pleasure to drive, feeling taut, lively and precise on the road.
