Model History:
The 911 E was designed to be the most comfortable of the 911 models; much like this one, many were lavishly appointed with a variety of factory options. Conceived to fit in between the 911 T and the 911 S, the E designation stood for einspritzung, German for "injection," noting mechanical fuel injection. For 1973, Porsche produced just 1, 055 examples of the 911 E Targa, making it quite desirable in its own right.
