Hello and welcome to the sale of this delightful 2CV 'Special'. This car has been with the last enthusiast keeper since 2015, when it was restored and recommissioned for him by the well respected 2CV Shop in Warminster. It was finished in the very smart and traditional Tornado grey, with contrasting light grey interior trim, and fitted with a galvanised chassis an, exchange engine unit and what appears to be a stainless steel exhaust. It comes with a large supporting history file, including service and repair invoices for recent repair work including a new clutch, starter motor and replacement carb, original book pack / manuals and two sets of keys. The speedo is showing as 50k miles and from the paperwork supplied this appears to be from the point the car was restored and the odometer set to zero, and has been in light but consistent use since then. The shell, body panels and chassis are in excellent condition, with no rust or grot bar a few tiny blisters on a couple of edges here and there as you would expect for one that was restored some time ago now. The paint retains a good shine and has been professionally polished. There was a replacement floor panel fitted for a recent MOT, so anything it has required has been duly attended to. It is also in great mechanical order, and is starting and driving very nicely with no knocks or bangs and good power delivery through the quirky yet rewarding 4 speed manual gearbox. The bumpers are in excellent condition and the brightwork is good. The wheels are very tidy with Michelin tyres, cream paint and smart polished wheel trims. The roof is a replacement rubber type and in very good order, and can of course be rolled back for those fun summer days. The interior is complete and undamaged with very tidy rubber floor mats, good door trims and untorn seats. To sum up this is a very complete, tidy and usable example of this iconic classic car, it would make an fantastic addition to any car collection and I am sure the new owner will be very pleased!
