I purchased this mini in June ‘21 from a friend who had it imported over in 2018 from Japan and had kept it in storage.
It was a great low mileage example 9, 005 miles, that needed some tidying up, ( mainly paint work from the heat in Japan ) to get it to the high standard it is now, I have tried not to go over the top with it, trying to keep it in as untouched original condition as possible.
1996 Classic mini Copper in White Diamond 2, the colour white was stopped in production in ‘95 so it is believed that this was a special order.
It’s has working factory fitted air- condition with new original belts
It has spent most of its life in japan as was imported back approximately 5 years ago with all duties paid.

Exterior
The exterior is in fantastic condition, amazingly for a mini it has never had any welding work done nor does it need it, the underneath of the car and wheel arches of the car are amazing and solid, they were not painted over with the respray to keep untouched. When I bought the mini the paint was needed some attention due to the heat in Japan, so it underwent a full glass out respray with a new heritage bonnet. New seals were fitted to the front, back and fixed side windows along with, rear light seals, new cooper black arch kit and side trim, new black roof gutter trim, new cooper grill compete with upper and side surrounds and to finish off new badges.
Interior
The interior itself is in great condition and a lovely place to be with very little wear for a 26 year old classic. It has white leather and green piped seats ( with headrests ) and matching door cards with black door pockets. A new roof lining was fitted with when the car was having its bodywork corrected. It has the sun visors and rear view mirror removed at the moment as I find it nicer to drive like that being tall, they will be sold with the car. It has black floor carpets and new black foot mats all round. It has a lovely walnut dash that has some light lacquer cracking, it is still very presentable, I did not want to replace as it adds some nice patina and keeps the originality to the car.
Wheels and tyres
The wheels are in great condition with little signs of wear. New Nankang tyres have been fitted and balanced all round.
Mechanical
The car has a 12 month MOT, mechanically the car is as you would expect in great condition. It has been well looked after in Japan as all cars in Japan go through rigorous inspections every two years making sure the cars are always in near new condition. For peace of mind to the when the mini was last MOT’d i asked the garage to undergone a full classic car inspection, full major service including complete grease up, oil and filter change, new spark plugs, distributer cap and rotor arm, ignition leads along with new alternator and air con belts as these can be very hard to get hold of, front brake pipe flexi hoses, new clutch master and slave cylinder with clutch and brake fluid change, new exhaust back box, On inspection there was slight play in the steering rack so the complete unit was changed for a new one, new battery, new bump stops, control arm bushes the tracking has been adjusted. Overall it is solid and an absolute pleasure to drive.
Overall in outstanding condition with minimal age related marks it is obviously still an old car and it has been and is still used but it is a solid iconic classic and great investment for someone to store or enjoy on the road.
